Staff Spotlight: Genia Voitsekhovskaya, Front of House Associate and Performance Supervisor
Posted on May 13, 2024
We sat down with CTC’s Front of House Associate and Performance Supervisor, Genia Voitsekhovskaya, to ask her some questions about her position. Enjoy!
CTC: What is your role at CTC?
Genia Voitsekhovskaya: I have been a Front of House Associate at CTC since the summer of 2008. The title of Performance Supervisor was added to my role in March of this year.
CTC: What does your job involve?
GV: The meat of my job as an Associate is to ensure that all patrons that come to CTC have the best possible theatrical experience from start to finish. This includes everything from the initial greeting to helping them get to their seats safely and efficiently.
My Performance Supervisor role involves sharing show information with the team and assigning shift positions, ensuring that the theatre space is set up for patrons with accessibility needs, and balancing staffing needs with various strengths of the team.
CTC: What is your favorite part about your job?
GV: My favorite part about my job is being able to use my skills and strengths to be an asset to CTC. Whether I catch someone speaking Russian and shock them with my bilingual skills or relate to a patron in a wheelchair, I can leave knowing that I added some sparkle to patrons’ theatrical experience that day.
CTC: What do you love most about CTC?
GV: I love seeing families whom I’ve met over the years evolve. It’s so great to see a child I’ve known since age four come up to me at age fourteen and still remember my name!
